I finally gave up on that old bone saw from the 80s
My boss had this ancient, heavy bone saw that sounded like a dying lawnmower. Last week, I borrowed a buddy's newer electric model to break down a side of beef. The new one went through the chine bone in maybe 30 seconds flat, no sweat. The old one would have taken five minutes and left my arm vibrating. What's the one tool you upgraded that made your day WAY easier?

That "arm vibrating" part is the real truth. Upgraded from a manual pipe threader to an electric one last year. My whole crew stopped complaining about forearm cramps.

Upgrading tools makes a huge difference, @davis.adam. My uncle ran a small plumbing crew and fought buying a power threader for years, said it was a waste of money. He finally got one after a guy quit over wrist pain, and the whole mood in the shop changed overnight. They stopped losing time to breaks just for shaking out their hands. Sometimes the old way just isn't worth the hurt, you know?

My old boss was the same way about a cordless bandsaw. He called it a "toy" until he saw us zip through a rack of strut in ten minutes. The guy who always brought the ibuprofen actually stopped. What's the point of saving money if you're just paying in Advil?
