That moment I realized my bandsaw blade was on backwards for 6 months...

I was wondering why my pork chops were tearing so bad, then a customer pointed out the teeth were facing the wrong way. How long was I doing that without anyone saying anything?

Six months is wild. I had a guy at my old shop run his miter saw with the blade facing up for a whole year before someone said something. He blamed the tool, not the teeth. Pork chops tearing like that though, that's a dead giveaway.

That bit about him blaming the tool not the teeth really gets me. Have you ever had someone like that actually admit they messed up after you pointed it out, or do they double down every time? I've run into a few guys who just can't handle being wrong about their setups. In my experience, once you show them the pork chop tear on the work piece they kind of have to accept it, but the ego bruise is real. It's like some people treat a blade like it's infallible and the saw is the only thing that could possibly go wrong. Your milage may vary, but I've found that pulling out a fresh blade and running a test cut side by side shuts down the argument pretty fast.
