TIL cheap band saw blades cost me a whole side of beef

Bought a 10-pack of no-name blades for $30 online and snapped three of them cutting through a single pork shoulder last Saturday. Anyone else had luck with a specific brand that holds up better?

Switched to Diablo blades and haven't looked back since, they cut through bone like butter.

Idk, I mean Diablo blades are good no doubt but I've had the same luck with the cheap ones from Harbor Freight if you take it slow. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't say they cut through bone like butter unless you're using a new one every time.

Honestly that reminds me of the time I tried cutting through a frozen turkey with a dull sawzall blade. Total disaster. The blade kept binding and I ended up with turkey juice all over my toolbox. Never again. Now I just use a fresh blade for anything that involves meat or bone, no matter what the brand is.
