Went from a $12 plastic scrubber to a $60 steel brush and my block never looked cleaner
For years I cleaned my cutting block with a cheap plastic scrubber and hot soapy water every night, and it always felt a little greasy by Friday. Last month I switched to a stiff steel brush and a salt scrub, and the difference showed up in about 3 days, the wood actually looks lighter again. What do you all use on end grain boards, or am I overdoing it with the steel bristles?
