My whole appeal got thrown out because of a 3 day delay in the mail

I spent 8 months gathering medical records and a doctor's letter for my SSDI hearing in Fresno, only to have the judge toss it because the disability lawyer's office mailed the paperwork 3 days past the deadline. Has anyone else lost a case over something this stupid with their CA disability lawyer?

Thrown out because of a 3 day delay" - honestly, that deadline exists for a reason and every lawyer knows it. If your disability lawyer missed it by three whole days, that's on them for not having their act together, not on the system being unfair. Maybe you need to find a lawyer who actually knows how to file on time so you don't waste another 8 months of your life.
