Can we talk about how I switched to cutting dovetails by hand after my router jig blew out a $200 cherry drawer front
I was in my shop in Boise last Tuesday rushing a kitchen order when the bearing on my jig slipped and gouged a drawer front I'd already spent an hour fitting, so I grabbed my grandfather's 40 year old backsaw and cut the rest by hand, and honestly the fit was tighter than anything the jig ever gave me, has anyone else ditched their power setup for hand tools on dovetails or am I just chasing a fluke?
