Can we talk about the move to all soft-close drawer slides?
I was pricing a job and realized it's just assumed now. It's wild how fast this became a must-have.

It's just a drawer slide though, right? The old ones close fine if you push them. We all got used to the quiet thing and now act like it's a need instead of a nice extra. Kinda funny how a small upgrade became non-negotiable so fast. Not everything needs to be a premium feature.

The soft-close slides on my tool chest changed how I use drawers every day. @olivia857, you're right that we adapt fast, but once you have them, going back to loud slams feels bad. That quiet close stops me from waking the kids during late night snack runs.

My kitchen drawers got the soft close thing last year. Now when I visit my mom's house and close a cabinet, the sound makes me jump like I broke something. It's embarrassing how fast my brain decided that quiet is the only correct way for furniture to work. I feel so spoiled complaining about a normal drawer doing its job.
