My old shop partner swears pocket screws are junk, but I just built 14 shop cabinets with them
He came by my garage in Dayton last Saturday, knocked on a face frame, and said "that'll rack apart in two winters" before he even opened the door. Thing is, these were shop cabinets that hold paint cans and router bits, not a $9,000 kitchen for a client, and I'd rather spend my time on the doors people actually see. So where do you all draw the line: do pocket screws have a real place in your builds, or do you skip them no matter what?
