Nothing matches the left side of a dovetail jig after trying it

I spent 7 years hand cutting dovetails in my shop near Tacoma, always proud of the slight imperfections. A buddy in Portland let me run a few boards through his Leigh jig last month and I had to admit the fit was perfect every single time. Am I giving up the hand tool look for good or is there a middle ground that keeps both accuracy and character?

A jig just moves the imperfection from the saw cuts to the glue-up, where you're the one making it perfect or not.
