Had a crawl space job in Tacoma that went from nightmare to smooth in one afternoon.

Found a massive rat nest wrapped around the main line, chewed through completely. Spent two hours clearing it out with gloves and a headlamp. Customer saw the mess and actually brought me a cold soda, which never happens. What's the weirdest thing you've found blocking a cable run?

Okay, a PETRIFIED squirrel? That's wild, @alice89. I can't even imagine pulling out something that looked like a museum piece. A cold soda is the least they could do for that kind of horror show find.

Man, a cold soda is basically a medal of honor for that kind of work. Weirdest blockage I ever pulled out was a perfectly preserved, petrified squirrel. Looked like a furry little statue just chilling in the conduit. Customer did not offer me a soda for that one.

Right? A cold soda is like winning the lottery in this line of work. Found a family of raccoons nested in a drop ceiling once, they'd chewed through so much coax it looked like confetti.
