I finally stopped using cheap coax connectors after a nightmare job in Phoenix
Pulled a 200 foot run through a crawlspace in 110 degree heat. Connector failed the signal test three times. Switched to compression fittings that same week and never looked back. Anyone else switch brands after one bad job?

Compression fittings saved my sanity after a similar nightmare. I was running cable behind a storefront in July, 100 degree heat with no AC, and those cheap crimp connectors kept failing on the tester. Third time I had to crawl back under the counter I swore I'd never touch them again. Bought a pack of compression ends from the van stock and finished the rest of the job in like half the time with zero failures.

Compression fittings are the only way to go after a crawlspace bake. Cheap connectors just don't hold up when you're sweating through a 200 foot pull in the heat. Had a similar issue on a long run in a warehouse once. Switched to compression that same week and it saved me a return trip.

oh man, the warehouse runs are the worst for that. i had one last summer where i was pulling through an attic that must have been like 140 degrees, and the cheap ends just kept popping off. i mean idk if it's the heat or what but compression definitely held up better once i swapped.
