Just realized how much RG6 cable gets left in attics after a job
I was cleaning out my own attic in Phoenix and found over 300 feet of old cable from previous installers, just coiled and abandoned. It made me wonder about the total waste across thousands of homes. Do you guys always pull out your old cable runs, or is it standard to just leave it?

But is it really a problem if it's just sitting there out of sight?

My buddy had a box of old papers in his attic for years. He forgot about it until his AC leaked and soaked everything. Turns out his social security card was in there. Took him six months to fix the identity theft mess. Out of sight doesn't mean safe.
