Just switched my crimping technique after 12 years in the trade
Everyone swears by the two-notch squeeze, but I've been getting better terminations on RG6 with a single firm bite since I tried it last month. Has anyone else ditched the standard method and seen fewer signal drops on long runs?
Have you checked how the weatherproofing holds up on that single bite versus the two notch? I found the tighter squeeze keeps moisture out better on outdoor runs, which might matter more than the signal loss you're seeing.
