Old timer told me to stop using my impact driver on coax fittings
Back in 2019, a guy named Jerry who'd been installing since the 80s watched me zip a compression fitting on with my impact. He said I'd be back to fix that drop in under 6 months. I laughed it off. Three months later I was on that same apartment complex swapping out 22 fittings that had all loosened up. Jerry was dead right. Anybody else still see new guys cranking down connectors with power tools?

Guilty as charged, had to learn that lesson the expensive way too.

Guilty as charged" huh? The truth is if you're using good fittings and not stripping the threads with the impact you can crank em down proper and they'll hold fine. Hand tight is just a recipe for them to work loose over time from vibration.
