The time a homeowner called my coax crimp 'sloppy' and made me redo it

He pointed out my outer jacket wasn't flush with the connector and I was annoyed at first but honestly the signal tested way cleaner after I fixed it. Has anyone else had a customer call them out on something small that actually improved their work?

Oh man that is so relatable! I had a guy call me out for not using a compression sleeve on a satellite cable once and I was so mad at first. But he was totally right, the signal dropped like crazy on rainy days before I fixed it. Now I always double check that everything is seated perfectly and I actually get fewer callbacks because of it. It's annoying in the moment but those picky customers end up teaching you stuff you never learned in any training. I still roll my eyes at the memory but I can't argue with better results.
