Went back to a house I wired 3 years ago and the Ethernet ports were full of spider webs

Buddy of mine opened a switch once and found a whole web village in there.

Whole web village" is exactly right. It's crazy how something that looks clean on the outside can be a total mess underneath. I've noticed this pattern everywhere, not just in hardware. Like, you see a well organized desk at work, but open the drawers and it's a disaster zone. Or a house with a perfect lawn, but the basement is flooded and full of mold. People just hide the ugly parts and hope nobody looks too close.
