Paid $250 to a "document prep" guy in Fresno and got nothing but a stapled pile
I hired a guy who called himself a legal document assistant to file some paperwork for me, and two months later nothing had been filed at all. Turns out he was never registered with the county, so I'm out $250 and starting over at the courthouse myself. Has anyone actually had luck getting money back from one of these so-called preparers, or should I just eat the loss?
