Fixed my cheap one with JB Weld on the transducer, lasted another year.

Oh man, that's rough... I actually read somewhere that those cheap ultrasonic cleaners often use really thin metal for the tank and weak glue for the transducer. I guess that's why they fall apart so fast, the vibrations just shake everything loose after a while. It's a shame because even a basic one from a known brand like Branson or Crest usually lasts years if you treat it right. I'd rather save up and get something that won't die on me in two months, you know?

Have you tried fixing it yourself? I mean, I get why youd rather save up for a good one instead of dealing with more junk falling apart. But sometimes those cheap ones can be saved with a bit of superglue or epoxy on the transducer if you catch it early. The thin metal tank is a bigger problem though, once it cracks you're pretty much done. @the_wren hit the nail on the head about the build quality difference, its night and day between a cheapo and a real brand name unit. A Branson will outlive you if you clean the tank regularly and don't let the solution get too hot. So why not just buy once and cry once instead of wasting money on disposable junk?
