Stopped by the camera shop on 8th in Wichita and saw a repair bench setup that made me rethink my parts trays
I was killing time in Wichita last Saturday and walked into the little camera shop on 8th just to look around. The owner had his bench set up in the back and he was using old muffin tins to sort screws by size instead of the plastic trays I have used for 10 years. He said the tins cost him $2 at a thrift store and the curved cups keep tiny springs from rolling off the bench. I tried it on a Minolta teardown this week and I did not lose a single screw, which almost never happens. Anyone else using kitchen stuff on their bench, or am I late to this?
