Swapped out my old screwdrivers for JIS ones and wow what a difference

Been fixing vintage cameras for about 5 years now and always wondered why I kept stripping screws on old Nikons and Canons. Picked up a set of Vessel JIS screwdrivers from Amazon for $35 last month and it made a huge difference on a 1964 Canon Pellix I was working on. The fit is way tighter and I haven't stripped a single screw since switching. Anyone else made the switch and noticed how much easier it is on those tiny body screws?

Bought a set of Vessel JIS drivers last year specifically for working on a beat up Pentax Spotmatic. Didn't realize how much the wrong screwdriver was making me fight myself. Now I'm looking at all my other screwdrivers with suspicion.

Aren't JIS drivers basically just Phillips with extra steps though?
