Finally got my old tent to stop leaking after a rainy weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I re-sealed the seams with a $12 tube of silicone sealant, following a video guide I found online. After letting it cure for two full days, I tested it with a garden hose and stayed completely dry inside. What's the longest you've kept a piece of gear going with a simple fix?

Two full days to cure, that's some serious patience. What was the worst leak spot on your tent before you sealed it up?

Honestly @terry677, the worst was a tiny pinhole right above my pillow. My own fault for storing it with a tent peg inside. The patience was just me being too cheap to buy a new tent.

Yeah, a pinhole leak is the worst. Makes you feel like you're getting personally targeted by the rain.
