My Coleman lantern from 2015 versus the new one I bought this year is night and day

I used the old one for years and it was fine, but the light was always a bit yellow and dim. The new model I got in March has a much brighter, whiter light and it runs for a full 12 hours on a single fuel canister. I think they changed the burner design or the mantle material. Has anyone else noticed this big jump in quality with their newer stuff?
