My kid asked why I always pack the same heavy gear

Honestly, she just pointed at my old 8-pound stove and said 'Dad, that looks tired.' I'm now looking at a 2-pound Jetboil for our Yosemite trip next month. Anyone else get nudged into an upgrade by a simple comment?
