My old stove finally gave out on a trip to the Red River Gorge

I had my trusty single burner for years, but it sputtered out halfway through cooking dinner. Borrowed a friend's two burner model and the difference was huge... I could boil water for coffee while frying eggs at the same time. It cut our morning pack-up time by a solid 30 minutes. Anyone have a good two burner they've used for more than a couple seasons?

What's your budget for a new stove? I read a review that said the cheaper two burners often have weak wind resistance. It might be worth paying a bit more for one that won't blow out on a ridge.

Totally agree with Brian. How many times have you had a flame die the second a breeze picks up? I had a cheaper stove do that on a camping trip last fall, and trying to boil water for coffee turned into a full hour of frustration. You really don't realize how important a good wind screen is until you're hungry and cold on a mountain. Spending a little extra for something stable is just buying peace of mind. I learned that lesson the hard way.
