My old tent finally gave up after a windy night in the Catskills last weekend.

I was honestly ready to be miserable, but my new Kelty tent went up in under five minutes and didn't even wobble, so what's the most reliable piece of gear you've ever bought that just worked perfectly from day one?

Sometimes the basic stuff just gets it right.

My buddy's old camp stove was a total nightmare, always clogging. He finally grabbed a basic Coleman two burner like five years ago, and that thing fires up first click every single time, even in the rain. It's just a tank.

Ever notice how the simplest tools are the ones you can actually rely on?
