Rant: My $300 tent flooded on day 2 at Yosemite and I nearly quit camping

I was at Yosemite last June and a storm hit hard. My expensive tent leaked through the seams and I woke up in three inches of water at 3 AM. Turns out I never seam-sealed it because I thought it was already factory treated. Has anyone else had a brand new tent fail on them like that?

Factory treated" just like my toast is "factory buttered" (spoiler: it's not).

Oh, you're kidding me! A completely bare cast iron pan sold as pre-seasoned? That is just insulting. I've bought a few cast iron pieces over the years and I always expect at least a thin coat of oil on them. Sending it out dry like that is setting people up for rust before they even get to use it. You'd think they would put a little more care into something that basic.

Right? My 'pre-seasoned' cast iron pan came completely bare.
