That week in March when 5 car shipments in a row went smooth and I didn't know what to do with myself
I run a small shipping brokerage out of Columbus and back in March I had maybe the best week I've had in 9 years of doing this. Five cars, five different routes, zero problems. Had a Rav4 going from Dayton to Phoenix, a pickup headed to Seattle, and three others scattered around, and every single driver showed up when they said they would. The guy hauling the pickup even called me from a truck stop in Wyoming just to say the roads were clear and he'd be a day early, which never happens. I remember sitting at my desk on that Friday with nothing to fix, no angry calls, no insurance forms, just quiet. My wife asked why I looked weird at dinner and I said I think I'm bored because nothing broke this week. Now it's been months of the usual mess, drivers ghosting, pickup windows sliding, one car sitting in a lot in Kansas City for 11 days waiting on a second rig. Does anyone else get those random good weeks where everything just lines up and it almost feels wrong?
