Pro tip: my neighbor told me to stop parking on a tarp and use a rubber mat instead
He pointed out that the plastic tarp traps moisture under the car after a rain, which is why I kept finding surface rust on my truck in Boise. Swapped to a $40 rubber mat a couple weeks ago and the floor stays dry now, has anyone else run into this?

Been dealing with the exact same thing on my F150 and always blamed the truck itself, not the tarp lol. Sure enough, pulled the tarp up last month and the concrete underneath was still dark and wet days after a storm. Switched to a cheap rubber mat and the underside has stayed dry since.
