Rant: the storage place on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie wants $185 a month and the guy won't even let me see the unit first
Stopped by this place in Poughkeepsie to ask about parking my project car over the winter and the manager quoted me $185 a month for a 10x20. When I asked to walk back and look at the actual unit he said I had to sign the lease first. That seems backwards to me, how am I supposed to know if the roof leaks or if there's mice before I hand over my keys? Has anyone else run into a place that works like this, and did you just pay up or keep looking?

Had the same crap in Newburgh, they wanted first month plus deposit before letting me peek inside.
