A Tuesday where every interview went sideways, then one call fixed it all

I had three interviews scheduled last week on the same Tuesday and every single one had some kind of glitch. The first one had a dead mic, the second was with a recruiter who kept checking her phone, and the third I got the date wrong in my calendar, showed up 20 minutes late. I was ready to give up on the job search entirely, but then I got a callback from a small startup in Austin that I'd applied to six weeks ago and forgot about. They offered me a role paying $8,000 more than I asked for. Has anyone else had a disaster day turn around out of nowhere like that?

Haha okay but is anyone gonna point out how weird it is that they lowballed you the whole time and then just randomly threw extra cash at you? That's not a win, that's them realizing you were about to walk and they had zero backup candidates. Honestly, a callback six weeks later feels like panic, not a blessing.
