A warning about taking a 'safe' promotion over a risky new role

Used to believe once you were stuck, you just stayed there. Reading that article made me see how time can trick you into thinking nothing will change. The eight months feel huge when you're in them, but they're just a small part of the whole picture. It's a good reminder that a bad stretch doesn't define what comes next.
