Dropped $250 on a noise-canceling headset for my home office and it's been a game changer

I work in a busy call center from home and my old $30 earbuds just weren't cutting it with the neighbor's leaf blower and barking dog. The new set blocks out everything and I actually finished my shift without muting myself once. Anyone else found a solid pair that won't break the bank?

You ever get that thing where your old earbuds make you hear your own breathing too loud... I had that problem for months before I upgraded. My neighbor's leaf blower finally pushed me over the edge too, just couldn't take it anymore. Feels good to actually hear your own thoughts during a shift, right?

Three months of hearing my own breathing like Darth Vader, @felix_hayes64 - I feel your pain. The leaf blower thing is real, mine was a neighbor's lawnmower that finally made me snap. Now I can actually hear my music without feeling like I'm drowning in my own lungs.

That thing about hearing your own breathing is way too real... I had those cheap earbuds where every breath sounded like I was underwater and my own heartbeat was this loud thumping in my ears. When I finally switched to over-ear ones with actual padding, it was like stepping out of a wind tunnel. The leaf blower thing is the final straw for most people I swear, it's that specific high-pitched whine that cuts through everything. Now I can actually hear my music at low volume and not feel like my head is in a fishbowl... definitely worth the upgrade just for the peace of mind alone.
