I used to think you had to stay at a job for at least 3 years, but I left my last one in Austin after 18 months and it was the best move I ever made.

Yeah, that's a huge shift from the old rule. What was the breaking point for you at the 18 month mark? Was it just a better offer, or did you hit a wall with the job itself that made you decide to jump ship?

Totally get that. I left a job after a year once and it felt so freeing. Drew_bennett24 is right, sometimes you just have to go where you're valued more, right?
