Is it just me or do half the resumes I see have typos in the first paragraph?

I was helping a friend review applications for a junior admin role at our office in Austin last week and literally 6 out of 10 had a typo in the opening summary. How do you even get past that when you're trying to hire someone detail oriented?

Man, that reminds me of when my cousin tried to apply for a job at HEB and spelled "customer service" as "costumer service" in the first sentence. His mom printed it out and hung it on the fridge as a joke. But seriously, it makes you wonder if people even proofread anymore or if they just copy paste from ChatGPT and hit send. I mean, you'd think for a detail oriented role they'd at least run spellcheck once before hitting submit.
