I spent 5 years manually copying data between Excel sheets for monthly reports at a logistics firm in Pittsburgh. Lenny glanced over my shoulder and showed me a simple vlookup formula that saved me 4 hours each cycle. What was your wake up call that made you completely change how you work?

I don't know, I feel like people make too big a deal out of these "breakthrough moments." Yeah, learning a quicker way to do something is nice and all, but at the end of the day it's just a spreadsheet trick. I've seen coworkers act like they discovered fire because they figured out how to freeze panes.

Honestly, seeing it as just a spreadsheet trick did make me roll my eyes at first, but after a friend showed me a pivot table last month I totally get the hype now. It saves me like an hour a day, Ngl.
