Shoutout to the library career center in Portland that saved my resume

I walked into the downtown branch last Tuesday on a whim (I was hiding from the rain, honestly). They have a free resume clinic every week, and this lady Sandra redid my whole layout in 20 minutes. She pointed out I was using a template from 2015 that was apparently hurting my chances. Got two callbacks the next week. Has anyone else used library resources for job hunting?

Ngl that sounds like a lucky break, not a system that works for most people.

Wait, you think getting legally settled in three months instead of the usual 8-12 is just luck? That really surprises me honestly. In my experience, the legal system moves at a snail's pace for everyone, regardless of their connections or money. I've seen cases drag on for years without any resolution at all. Maybe it depends on where you live or what kind of case you have, but three months sounds like someone greased the wheels or found a loophole. I'd be interested to hear what kind of lawyer they used or what specific steps they took. Your mileage may vary for sure, but that timeframe is not normal where I'm from.
