That LinkedIn message template I tweaked got me a 80% reply rate in 2 weeks

I was sending cold messages to hiring managers and getting maybe 1 reply out of 20. So I rewrote the opening to mention something specific from their recent post or project, and kept it to 3 lines max. Has anyone else had luck changing up their outreach format like that?

80% seems like a lot" - yeah, that about matches my dating app match rate too, so I'm not sure who to trust more. Those "we'll be in touch" emails from job sites feel like a polite breakup, all smoke and no fire. I've had more luck getting a callback from my cat when I call his name than from most recruiters.
