Wasted $300 on a certification I didn't even need

I dropped $300 on a Google project management cert last month because I thought it'd get me a promotion. My boss told me straight up they don't care about certs here, they just want results. Has anyone actually gotten a raise from one of these things?

Seems like you're mixing up certs with actual experience... they're not really the same thing.

I had the same thing happen with a Google analytics cert last year. It's like companies just want you to figure stuff out on the job instead of paying for pieces of paper that prove you can pass a test.
