Ugh, been there. Why is it so hard to admit when the new guy is right?

That one meeting last year still bugs me. It feels like a pride thing, where senior people have built their whole identity on being right. Admitting a new person knows better just breaks that image.

Built their whole identity on being right" is a bit much. It's just a work disagreement, not a personality crisis.
