Appreciation post: the old guy at the lumber yard in Tulsa who caught my crown molding mistake
I was loading 16 foot crown molding onto my cart at the yard in Tulsa when a retired trim guy stopped me and said "that board's got a twist, hold it up to the light before you buy it." Sure enough, 3 of the 6 boards were warped and I would've been cussing in some lady's living room the next day. Do you all check every stick before it leaves the yard, or just grab and go?
