Had a stubborn pocket hole strip-out on a maple cabinet face frame last Thursday.
Grabbed a golf tee, coated it with glue, and hammered it into the stripped hole. Let it dry, cut it flush, and drilled a new pilot. Held solid. Anyone got a different fix for this?

Hey, quick thing, isn't maple super hard? I've heard a dowel or a glued-up sliver of the same wood works better than a softwood tee for a long-term fix.

Wow, I used to swear by softwood plugs too, but you're totally right about matching the wood.

My old oak table taught me that lesson.
