I doubted the jig for 3 weeks, now I won't cut a tenon without it

I've been doing joinery with a tablesaw and a chisel forever. A guy on a job in Austin kept pushing me to try a dedicated tenon jig. I figured it was a gimmick for weekend warriors. Then I had to cut 14 tenons for a stair railing and my hands were cramping by the 5th one. Borrowed his Jessem, set it up in 10 minutes, and every single cut came out square. I was wrong. Still not buying the pricey ones, but a mid range unit paid for itself in that one afternoon. Anyone else resisted a tool for a long time and then ate their words?
