I finally figured out why my miter saw cuts were drifting after 3 years
I was trimming out a living room in a flip house over on Maple Street last Tuesday and kept getting these tiny gaps on my crown molding joints. Drove me crazy for about an hour until I realized my saw was sitting on a little pile of sawdust that had built up under one foot. Leveled it out with a shim and the cuts lined up perfect after that. Has anyone else dealt with a portable saw station getting just slightly off kilter on a job site?

Nah, but I bet the floor slab had a dip too.

Wait, are you saying the concrete was crooked AND the floor was uneven? That sounds like someone was building a funhouse, not a deck.
