Just realized my grandfather's old chisel was forged in the 1930s

I was cleaning out my dad's garage last Saturday and found this beat up chisel with a faint stamp on the side. Looked it up online and it's from a company that went under in 1941. That thing has been through three generations of projects and still holds an edge better than my brand new set from Home Depot. Who else has old tools that just won't quit?

Hate seeing good stuff get replaced by junk.

My 1940s Craftsman brace drill still spins smoother than any of my newer stuff, there's something about that wartime steel they just don't make anymore.
