Serious question, has anyone else had a framing nailer fail in the middle of a big job?
Last week I was working on a garage addition in Springfield, and my main nailer just quit halfway through sheathing the second wall. It was a Bostitch model I've had for about three years. I checked the air line, oiled it, everything. Ended up having to finish the whole thing by hand, which added almost two hours to the day. What do you guys do when your main tool gives out on site?

At least you didn't have to walk for cell service like @graydavis, but a hand-nailed wall really makes you question your life choices, doesn't it?

Remember my old truck breaking down on a rural job site. Had to walk three miles just to get a cell signal. Makes a busted nailer feel like a minor hiccup.

Walking three miles for a cell signal really puts things in perspective. That's the kind of day that makes you want to just sit down in a ditch and rethink your whole career. Guess a broken nailer is just a gentle reminder to be grateful.
