Customer told me my seams were "gaping" and I wanted to punch him but he was right

Had a job last week in a living room with this thick berber carpet. I thought my seams looked fine but the homeowner got down on his hands and knees and pointed out this tiny gap I could barely see with my eyes. Made me redo the whole seam with double-sided tape instead of just glue. Hated doing it but honestly the second one looked way better. Has anyone else had a customer call you out on something that actually made you better?

You ever have a customer point out the exact thing you were already worried about but pretending wasn't there? I had a lady tell me my window tint had "fingernail scratches" in it that I swore I couldn't see until she shined a flashlight on it. Had to redo a whole back window. Felt like an idiot but damn if that job didn't come out clean the second time. Sometimes you need someone to call you out to actually level up your work.

Nah @terryk10, sometimes that little flaw was good enough and nobody else would've noticed.

You ever fix something three times before finally getting it right, only to realize the first try would've been fine if you'd just slowed down?
