Had a dream week last week, 3 perfect seams in a row

I'm still riding the high from last Tuesday honestly. Got called to do a long hallway in a new build over on Maple Street, about 60 feet of carpet with a center seam. I lined it up, cut it, and it came out invisible, no tape showing, no gap. Then Thursday I did two more seams in a bedroom and they both matched up perfect too. It's just one of those weeks where everything clicks, you know? Has anyone else had a run like that where you just can't miss?

A perfect seam on 60 feet of carpet is no small feat, that hallway must have felt like a mile. Just be careful with that center seam on a long run like that, sometimes the backing can shift a hair if the temperature changes. Those good weeks are nice while they last though, I always try to soak them up because the tough jobs come around soon enough.

Wait has anyone checked if the tack strip or subfloor was maybe uneven on that long hall lol? @susan130 knows, those perfect runs can hide floor issues that'll show up down the line after a season change.

Oh man, talk about living the dream. I had a similar streak last month, three perfect seams in a row on a Tuesday, and I swear I was about to start signing autographs or something. Then Friday came and I blew a seam on a ten-foot straight run in a closet, didn't even feel it shift until the customer pointed it out. Life sure knows how to humble you fast. Guess that's the universe's way of saying enjoy the good days while they last, because the carpet gods are always watching.
