Had a seam pop on a big job in Boise and my old fix didn't work

I was finishing a 2,000 square foot office space and the seam tape on a long hallway just gave out after the glue set. Honestly, I always thought more glue was the answer, but it just made a bigger mess. What's your go-to method for a seam that won't hold on a high traffic area?

Yeah, the "more glue" thing got me too. I had a seam fail in a school hallway. Kept adding adhesive, just got a sticky mess that still lifted. Now I cut a small patch from leftover material. Rough up both surfaces with sandpaper, use a high strength vinyl adhesive on the patch and the floor. Weight it down overnight with books. Holds up to kids running every day.

What brand of high strength adhesive are you using? Some of them are garbage and just stay gummy forever. Need one that actually cures hard.

A school hallway? @mary_foster92, that's a serious test for any glue. Nancy's patch idea sounds way smarter than just adding more.
