I finally hit 500 yards of carpet in a single day last Tuesday

I've been installing for about 6 years now and never thought I'd pull that off. It was a big open office space downtown, just straight runs with no tricky stairs or closets. My helper and I had a good rhythm going with the power stretcher and seam iron. Has anyone else surprised themselves with a new personal best like that?

Respect your grind but I don't really see 500 yards of straight open office as a personal best type of thing. I mean, anyone with a good helper and a power stretcher can hammer that out if there's zero obstacles. Maybe it's just me but I'd save the celebration for something with tricky cuts or weird angles.

Dude come on. Not everyone's doing this for internet cred or showing off tricky cuts. Maybe the guy just wanted to hit a milestone for himself. Straight runs are still work, still gotta be level and tight. Let people be happy with their own wins.
