Knee kicker broke mid job on Tuesday
I was installing some nice carpet in a living room in Phoenix and my knee kicker just snapped right at the pin. The padding was really thick so I had to lean in hard. I ended up driving to Home Depot and grabbing a Crain 575 for $80 and it got me through the rest of the day. Anyone else have a tool fail at the worst possible time?

No way, right at the pin?! That's a nightmare, especially with thick padding like that. I've had a Crain 575 in my truck for years and it's never let me down, glad it saved your day. $80 is a small price to pay to finish a job versus dealing with a callback and angry customer.

Used to roll my eyes at spending that much on a tool but yeah, you're right.
